You should upgrade the affected component.
Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Google Go up to 1.10.5/1.11.2 (Programming Language Software). This affects some unknown functionality of the component Command Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
In Go before 1.10.6 and 1.11.x before 1.11.3, the "go get" command is vulnerable to directory traversal when executed with the import path of a malicious Go package which contains curly braces (both '{' and '}' characters). Specifically, it is only vulnerable in GOPATH mode, but not in module mode (the distinction is documented at https://golang.org/cmd/go/#hdr-Module_aware_go_get). The attacker can cause an arbitrary filesystem write, which can lead to code execution.
The bug was discovered 12/14/2018. The weakness was presented 12/14/2018 with Tencent as confirmed bug report (Bugzilla). It is possible to read the advisory at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2018-16874 since 09/11/2018. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1006 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 119852 (GLSA-201812-09 : Go: Multiple vulnerabilities), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Gentoo Local Security Checks and running in the context l. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 171965 (OpenSUSE Security Update for go1.10 (openSUSE-SU-2018:4255-1)).
Upgrading to version 1.10.6 or 1.11.3 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published 1 weeks after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at Tenable (119852) and SecurityFocus (BID 106228†). See VDB-127982 and VDB-127984 for similar entries. Be aware that VulDB is the high quality source for vulnerability data.
