A vulnerability was found in FreshDNS up to 1.0.3. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file index.php. The web application does not, or can not, sufficiently verify whether a well-formed, valid, consistent request was intentionally provided by the user who submitted the request. FreshDNS version 1.0.3 and earlier contains a Cross ite Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in All (authenticated) API calls in index.php / class.manager.php that can result in Editing domains and zones with victim's privileges. This attack appear to be exploitable via Victim must open a website containing attacker's javascript. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 1.0.5 and later.
The bug was discovered 11/08/2018. The weakness was released 12/20/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-1000846 since 12/20/2018. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
