Details
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Elasticsearch Security 6.4.0/6.4.1/6.4.2. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown function of the component Active Directory Handler. The manipulation as part of a Request Header leads to a information disclosure vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-200. The product exposes sensitive information to an actor that is not explicitly authorized to have access to that information. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Elasticsearch Security versions 6.4.0 to 6.4.2 contain an error in the way request headers are applied to requests when using the Active Directory, LDAP, Native, or File realms. A request may receive headers intended for another request if the same username is being authenticated concurrently; when used with run as, this can result in the request running as the incorrect user. This could allow a user to access information that they should not have access to.
