COMPAREX Miss Marple Enterprise Edition before 2.0 allows local users to execute arbitrary code by reading the user name and encrypted password hard-coded in an Inventory Agent configuration file.
The bug was discovered 11/21/2018. The weakness was shared 12/20/2018 as not defined mailinglist post (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at seclists.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-19233 since 11/12/2018. An attack has to be approached locally. A simple authentication is required for exploitation.
