Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and 7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted web site, aka "Internet Explorer Memory Corruption Vulnerability."

The issue has been introduced in 03/22/2001. The weakness was presented 04/08/2014 by Dr. Bo Qu with Palo Alto Networks as MS14-018 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared for download at technet.microsoft.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-1752 since 01/29/2014. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 05/10/2026).
