An issue was discovered in Joomla! before 3.9.2. Inadequate checks of the Global Configuration Text Filter settings allowed stored XSS.
The bug was discovered 01/01/2019. The weakness was released 01/16/2019 by Basti (Website). The advisory is shared at developer.joomla.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2019-6263 since 01/14/2019. The attack may be initiated remotely. Required for exploitation is a simple authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
