The bug was discovered 01/15/2019. The weakness was published 01/15/2019 as confirmed security update guide (Website). The advisory is shared at portal.msrc.microsoft.com. A spoofing vulnerability exists when a Skype for Business 2015 server does not properly sanitize a specially crafted request. An authenticated attacker could exploit the vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request to an affected Skype for Business server. The attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could then perform cross-site scripting attacks on affected systems and run script in the security context of the current user.
