Google V8, as used in Google Chrome before 34.0.1847.116, does not properly use numeric casts during handling of typed arrays, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds array access) or possibly have unspecified other impact via crafted JavaScript code.

The weakness was published 04/08/2014 by Christian Holler (Cloudfuzzer) with Google as Stable Channel Update as confirmed release notes (Website). The advisory is shared at googlechromereleases.blogspot.dk. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2014-1717 since 01/29/2014. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
