A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in ZoneMinder up to 1.32.3 (Video Surveillance Software). This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the file frame.php. The manipulation of the argument show as part of a Parameter leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability (Reflected). The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-79. Reflected Cross Site Scripting (XSS) exists in ZoneMinder through 1.32.3, allowing an attacker to execute HTML or JavaScript code via a vulnerable 'show' parameter value in the view frame (frame.php) because proper filtration is omitted.
The bug was discovered 01/23/2019. The weakness was disclosed 02/04/2019. This vulnerability was named CVE-2019-7330 since 02/04/2019. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 12 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k. By approaching the search of inurl:frame.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
