A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in GDM up to 3.31.3. Affected is an unknown function of the component Timed Login. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a improper authentication vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-287. A vulnerability was discovered in gdm before 3.31.4. When timed login is enabled in configuration, an attacker could bypass the lock screen by selecting the timed login user and waiting for the timer to expire, at which time they would gain access to the logged-in user's session.
The bug was discovered 02/08/2019. The weakness was published 02/06/2019 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com.
