A memory corruption vulnerability exists in the Windows Server DHCP service when an attacker sends specially crafted packets to a DHCP server. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could run arbitrary code on the DHCP server.

The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 91504 (Microsoft Windows Security Update February 2019).

Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
