Avaya one-X Communicator uses weak cryptographic algorithms in the client authentication component that could allow a local attacker to decrypt sensitive information. Affected versions include all 6.2.x versions prior to 6.2 SP13.
The bug was discovered 02/14/2019. The weakness was published 02/27/2019 (Website). The advisory is shared at downloads.avaya.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2019-7006 since 01/28/2019. An attack has to be approached locally. A simple authentication is necessary for exploitation.
