A vulnerability was found in SAP NetWeaver and ABAP Platform (Solution Stack Software) (affected version not known). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component ABAP Server. The manipulation as part of a XML Document leads to a xml external entity reference vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-611. The product processes an XML document that can contain XML entities with URIs that resolve to documents outside of the intended sphere of control, causing the product to embed incorrect documents into its output. ABAP Server (used in NetWeaver and Suite/ERP) and ABAP Platform does not sufficiently validate an XML document accepted from an untrusted source, leading to an XML External Entity (XEE) vulnerability. Fixed in Kernel 7.21 or 7.22, that is ABAP Server 7.00 to 7.31 and Kernel 7.45, 7.49 or 7.53, that is ABAP Server 7.40 to 7.52 or ABAP Platform.
