The API in Adobe Reader and Acrobat 10.x before 10.1.10 and 11.x before 11.0.07 on Windows and OS X does not prevent access to unmapped memory, which allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via unspecified API calls.
The weakness was presented 05/13/2014 by Yuki Chen with Trend Micro as APSB14-15 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at helpx.adobe.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2014-0525 since 12/20/2013. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1068 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
