A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Nagios XI up to 5.5.10 (Log Management Software). This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the component Autodiscovery Job Handler. Command injection in Nagios XI before 5.5.11 allows an authenticated users to execute arbitrary remote commands via a new autodiscovery job.
The bug was discovered 02/25/2019. The weakness was presented 03/28/2019 (Website). The advisory is available at nagios.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2019-9164 since 02/25/2019. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. A single authentication is needed for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
