A vulnerability was found in Eclipse Kura up to 4.0.0. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the component SkinServlet. The manipulation as part of a GET Request leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. In Eclipse Kura versions up to 4.0.0, the SkinServlet did not checked the path passed during servlet call, potentially allowing path traversal in get requests for a limited number of file types.
