A vulnerability was found in IBM WebSphere Portal 6.1.0/7.0/8.0 (Application Server Software). It has been rated as problematic. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in boot_config.jsp in IBM WebSphere Portal 6.1.0 through 6.1.0.6 CF27, 6.1.5 through 6.1.5.3 CF28, 7.0 through 7.0.0.2 CF28, and 8.0 before 8.0.0.1 CF12 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified vectors.
The weakness was disclosed 05/13/2014 with IBM as swg21672572 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at www-01.ibm.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-0952 since 01/06/2014. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
