A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in GPAC 0.7.1. This issue affects the function gf_bin128_parse of the file utils/os_divers.c. The manipulation as part of a XML File leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. gf_bin128_parse in utils/os_divers.c in GPAC 0.7.1 has a buffer overflow issue for the crypt feature when encountering a crafted_drm_file.xml file.
The bug was discovered 02/13/2019. The weakness was shared 04/15/2019 (Website). The advisory is shared at lists.debian.org.
