A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in LibreNMS 1.46. This affects an unknown code of the file html/pages/addhost.inc.php. LibreNMS 1.46 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands by using the $_POST['community'] parameter to html/pages/addhost.inc.php during creation of a new device, and then making a /ajax_output.php?id=capture&format=text&type=snmpwalk&hostname=localhost request that triggers html/includes/output/capture.inc.php command mishandling.
The weakness was shared 04/24/2019. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2018-20434 since 12/24/2018. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details and a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1202 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
