njs through 0.3.1, used in NGINX, has a heap-based buffer overflow in Array.prototype.splice after a resize, related to njs_array_prototype_splice in njs/njs_array.c, because of njs_array_expand size mishandling.
The bug was discovered 05/07/2019. The weakness was disclosed 05/09/2019. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2019-11838 since 05/09/2019. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
