An integer overflow that leads to a use-after-free in Blink Storage in Google Chrome on Linux prior to 73.0.3683.75 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTML page.
The bug was discovered 03/12/2019. The weakness was disclosed 05/23/2019 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at lists.opensuse.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2019-5788 since 01/09/2019. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
