A reflected Cross-Site-Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Fortinet FortiOS 5.2.0 to 6.0.4 under SSL VPN web portal may allow an attacker to execute unauthorized malicious script code via the "param" parameter of the error process HTTP requests.
The weakness was disclosed 05/24/2019 as FG-IR-19-034 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at fortiguard.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2019-5586 since 01/07/2019. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation.
