A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in GrandNode 4.40. This issue affects the function LetsEncryptController of the file Controllers/LetsEncryptController.cs. The manipulation as part of a HTTP Requests leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. A Path Traversal vulnerability in Controllers/LetsEncryptController.cs in LetsEncryptController in GrandNode 4.40 allows remote, unauthenticated attackers to retrieve arbitrary files on the web server via specially crafted LetsEncrypt/Index?fileName= HTTP requests. A patch for this issue was made on 2019-05-30 in GrandNode 4.40.
