A vulnerability was found in MantisBT up to 2.17.0 (Bug Tracking Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown function of the file view_filters_page.php of the component View Filters Page/Edit Filter Page. The manipulation of the argument PATH_INFO with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability (Reflected). Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-79. A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the View Filters page (view_filters_page.php) and Edit Filter page (manage_filter_edit_page.php) in MantisBT 2.1.0 through 2.17.0 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary code (if CSP settings permit it) through a crafted PATH_INFO. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2018-13055.
The weakness was disclosed 06/20/2019. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-16514 since 09/05/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely.
