Affected is an unknown function of the file SYNO.PhotoStation.File of the component File Upload. The manipulation of the argument uploadphoto as part of a Parameter leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Relative path traversal vulnerability in SYNO.PhotoStation.File in Synology Photo Station before 6.8.11-3489 and before 6.3-2977 allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary files via the uploadphoto parameter.
