Multiple stored Cross-site scripting (XSS) issues in the admin panel and survey system in REDCap 8 before 8.10.20 and 9 before 9.1.2 allow an attacker to inject arbitrary malicious HTML or JavaScript code into a user's web browser.
The weakness was disclosed 07/11/2019. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2019-13029 since 06/28/2019. The attack may be initiated remotely. A simple authentication is necessary for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
