Spring Framework version 5.0.5 when used in combination with any versions of Spring Security contains an authorization bypass when using method security. An unauthorized malicious user can gain unauthorized access to methods that should be restricted.
The bug was discovered 05/09/2018. The weakness was released 07/16/2019 by Security Team as Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - Juli 2019 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at oracle.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2018-1258 since 12/06/2017. The attack may be launched remotely.
