A vulnerability was found in Mozilla Firefox, Thunderbird and Firefox ESR (Web Browser) (version unknown). It has been classified as critical. Affected is an unknown function of the component Crash Reporter. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a race condition vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-362. The product contains a code sequence that can run concurrently with other code, and the code sequence requires temporary, exclusive access to a shared resource, but a timing window exists in which the shared resource can be modified by another code sequence that is operating concurrently. A race condition is present in the crash generation server used to generate data for the crash reporter. This issue can lead to a use-after-free in the main process, resulting in a potentially exploitable crash and a sandbox escape. *Note: this vulnerability only affects Windows. Other operating systems are unaffected.*. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 60.7, Firefox < 67, and Firefox ESR < 60.7.
