A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Apple iOS up to 12.3.2 (Smartphone Operating System). This issue affects some unknown functionality of the component Heimdal. The advisory is shared at support.apple.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-16860 since 09/11/2018. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. A simple authentication is required for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. Upgrading to version 12.4 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
