The issue has been introduced in 11/01/1994. The weakness was released 06/14/1997 by SecurNET with Secure Networks Inc. (Website). The advisory is shared at packetstormsecurity.nl. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-1999-0059. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation.
