A vulnerability was found in HTML Include and Replace Macro Plugin up to 1.4.x on Confluence Server and classified as problematic. The "HTML Include and replace macro" plugin before 1.5.0 for Confluence Server allows a bypass of the includeScripts=false XSS protection mechanism via vectors involving an IFRAME element.
The weakness was released 08/14/2019 by Francesco Emanuel Bennici (l0nax) with FABMation GmBH as FAB-2019-00156 as confirmed exploit (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared at github.com. The public release was coordinated with the project team. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2019-15053 since 08/14/2019. The attack may be initiated remotely.
