A vulnerability was found in Tribulant Newsletters Plugin up to 4.6.18 on WordPress (WordPress Plugin) and classified as critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=newsletters_exportmultiple. The manipulation of the argument subscribers[1][1] with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=newsletters_exportmultiple in the Tribulant Newsletters plugin before 4.6.19 for WordPress allows directory traversal with resultant remote PHP code execution via the subscribers[1][1] parameter in conjunction with an exportfile=../ value.
