A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in mixin-deep up to 2.0.0. Affected is the function set-value of the component Constructor Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a resource consumption vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-400. The product does not properly control the allocation and maintenance of a limited resource, thereby enabling an actor to influence the amount of resources consumed, eventually leading to the exhaustion of available resources. set-value is vulnerable to Prototype Pollution in versions before 2.0.1 and version 3.0.0. The function mixin-deep could be tricked into adding or modifying properties of Object.prototype using any of the constructor, prototype and _proto_ payloads.
