The manipulation as part of a Command leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Buffer overflows in Quake 1.9 client allows remote malicious servers to execute arbitrary commands via long (1) precache paths, (2) server name, (3) server address, or (4) argument to the map console command.
