A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Puppets Place NukeNabber (Service Management Software) (the affected version is unknown). The product does not properly control the allocation and maintenance of a limited resource, thereby enabling an actor to influence the amount of resources consumed, eventually leading to the exhaustion of available resources. NukeNabber allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by connecting to the NukeNabber port (1080) without sending any data, which causes the CPU usage to rise to 100% from the report.exe program that is executed upon the connection.
