A vulnerability was found in Hydra up to 0.1.8. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function process_header_end of the file read.c of the component HTTP Header Handler. The manipulation of the argument Content-Length as part of a POST Request leads to a null pointer dereference vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-476. Hydra through 0.1.8 has a NULL pointer dereference and daemon crash when processing POST requests that lack a Content-Length header. read.c, request.c, and util.c contribute to this. The process_header_end() function calls boa_atoi(), which ultimately calls atoi() on a NULL pointer.
