A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Sequelize up to 4.44.2. This issue affects the function sequelize.json of the component JSON Query Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. Sequelize, all versions prior to version 4.44.3 and 5.15.1, is vulnerable to SQL Injection due to sequelize.json() helper function not escaping values properly when formatting sub paths for JSON queries for MySQL, MariaDB and SQLite.
