Microsoft Taskpads allows remote web sites to execute commands on the visiting user's machine via certain methods that are marked as Safe for Scripting.
The weakness was shared 02/22/1999 by Adrian O'Neill with Microsoft as MS99-007 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared for download at microsoft.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-1999-0379. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
