A vulnerability was found in POSH up to 3.2.1. It has been classified as critical. Affected is an unknown code block of the file portal/scr_sendmd5.php. The manipulation of the argument redirect as part of a Parameter leads to a redirect vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-601. A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. Open redirect vulnerability in the password reset functionality in POSH 3.0 through 3.2.1 allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary web sites and conduct phishing attacks via a URL in the redirect parameter to portal/scr_sendmd5.php.
The bug was discovered 02/28/2014. The weakness was published 11/22/2019 by Anthony Baube and Damien Cauquil. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2014-2213 since 02/26/2014. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1204.001 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
