The bug was discovered 09/14/2012. The weakness was disclosed 12/03/2019 by Georgi Geshev. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2012-4428 since 08/21/2012. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
