A vulnerability was found in TitanHQ WebTitan up to 5.17. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component Administration Web Interface. An issue was discovered in TitanHQ WebTitan before 5.18. In the administration web interface it is possible to upload a crafted backup file that enables an attacker to execute arbitrary code by overwriting existing files or adding new PHP files under the web root. This requires the attacker to have access to a valid web interface account.
The weakness was disclosed 12/02/2019. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2019-19020 since 11/17/2019. The attack may be initiated remotely. Required for exploitation is a simple authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1608.002 for this issue.
Upgrading to version 5.18 eliminates this vulnerability.
