The web components of Compaq Management Agents and the Compaq Survey Utility allow a remote attacker to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) attack.

The weakness was released 05/26/1999. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-1999-0771. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely.
