Microsoft FrontPage stores form results in a default location in /_private/form_results.txt, which is world-readable and accessible in the document root, which allows remote attackers to read possibly sensitive information submitted by other users.
The weakness was shared 08/24/1999 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-1999-1052. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation.
