A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in HashBrown CMS up to 1.3.1 (Content Management System). This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file Server/Entity/Resource/Connection.js. The manipulation of the argument name/ID with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. An issue was discovered in HashBrown CMS before 1.3.2. Server/Entity/Resource/Connection.js allows an attacker to reach a parent directory via a crafted name or ID field.
