A vulnerability was found in OSIsoft PI Vision up to 2018 and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code of the component Administration Site. OSIsoft PI Vision, All versions of PI Vision prior to 2019. The affected product is vulnerable to a cross-site request forgery that may be introduced on the PI Vision administration site.
The weakness was disclosed 01/15/2020. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2019-18271 since 10/22/2019. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
Upgrading to version 2019 eliminates this vulnerability.
