A vulnerability has been found in Floosietek FTGate 2.1 and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the component Web Interface. FTGate web interface server allows remote attackers to read files via a .. (dot dot) attack.

The weakness was shared 11/04/1999 by eEye Digital Security with eEye as AD05261999 as not defined advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at eeye.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-1999-0887. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
