A vulnerability was found in Sun Cobalt RaQ 2.0. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the file cgiwrap of the component User Handler. cgiwrap as used on Cobalt RaQ 2.0 and RaQ 3i does not properly identify the user for running certain scripts, which allows a malicious site administrator to view or modify data located at another virtual site on the same system.
The weakness was released 11/08/1999 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared for download at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-1999-1530. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack needs to be approached locally. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
