A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 (Operating System). Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component SNMP Agent. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory leak vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-401. The product does not sufficiently track and release allocated memory after it has been used, which slowly consumes remaining memory. Impacted is availability. CVE summarizes:
Memory leak in SNMP agent in Windows NT 4.0 before SP5 allows remote attackers to conduct a denial of service (memory exhaustion) via a large number of queries.
