BEA WebLogic Server and WebLogic Express 8.1 SP2 and SP3 allows users with the Monitor security role to "shrink or reset JDBC connection pools."
The weakness was presented 05/24/2005 by Mitja Kolsek with BEA Systems (Website). The advisory is shared at dev2dev.bea.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-1742 since 05/25/2005. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
It is declared as proof-of-concept.
