A vulnerability has been found in Zen Load Balancer 3.10.1 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function Monitoring::Logs of the file index.cgi. The manipulation of the argument filelog with the input value /etc/shadow leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Monitoring::Logs in Zen Load Balancer 3.10.1 allows remote authenticated admins to conduct absolute path traversal attacks, as demonstrated by a filelog=/etc/shadow request to index.cgi.
